Looking for summer opportunities for your student?  Below are programs that are available from our district and with agencies that we partner with, as well as programs available to all students offered by community agencies.  All community program resources are not affiliated with Twin Rivers School District so please be sure to do your research and check programs out.

District Program for 7th Graders

7th GRADE SUMMER PROGRAM AROUND THE WORLD
This summer we are "traveling" around the world! Each week participants will learn about the rich culture, traditions and history of a fascinating country. Students will have the opportunity to participate in the most popular sports and dances from five different countries. It all leads up to a summer culminating event featuring students performances and a STEM showcase highlighting student architectural and fashion designs from around the world. 
  • Daily offerings:
    • Hands-on fun STEM & art activities, sports and more!
    • Free breakfast & lunch
    • Transportation from school-to-school
    • Before & after care 
    • Students may also be eligible to receive small group based instruction. Priority will be given to students with the highest academic need and is subject to teacher availability.
  • Program Dates & Times:
    • June 13- July 14 (closed on 6/20 & 7/4)
    • Monday - Thursday (8:30 AM - 2:30 PM)
    • Before school hours ( 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM)
    • After school hours (2:30- 4:00 PM)
  • Grades: 
    • Open to current 7th graders enrolled & attending a TRUSD site

  • Transportation:
    • Limited school to school transportation is available
    • Bus schedules will be posted once available

8th Graders

8th GRADE BRIDGE PROGRAM
 
This program is designed to help incoming 9th graders make a smooth and successful transtition from middle school to high school. The three-week program will allow participants to get familiar with their new campus & navigate the many resources available to them while meeting  new friends. The Brigde Program will also offer the opportunity for them to get ahead earning elective credits.
  • Daily offerings:
    • Free breakfast & lunch
    • Transportation from school-to-school
    • Mentorship
  • Program Dates & Times:
    • June 13- June 30 (No school June 20th)
    • Monday - Thursday (9:15 AM - 2:30 PM)
  • Grades:
    • Open to current 8th graders currently enrolled & attending a TRUSD site

  • Transportation:

    • Limited school to school transportation is available
    • Bus schedules will be posted once available

Community Partner Programs

UC DAVIS

For Students going in to the 9th grade for the 2022-2023 School year who would like to get a head start or just make sure they have all the math skills they need.  The program is 4 weeks long from June 27th-July 28th, Monday through Thursday from9:15-2:30.  This will include two field trips to different college with transportation, breakfast & lunch provided.

2022 Summer of CTE Camps. All programs this year are geared towards middle school students entering grades 6-8 in fall 2022.
 
MONEY CAMP-During this fun and hands-on one-week camp, students will learn how to increase their own value and learn powerful and practical ways to gain skills and the keys to unlocking their leadership talent. Camp instructors are from Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
